President and Chief Operating Officer

Roger Angarita is Co-Founder, Chief Operating Officer and President of PrepInteractive. Roger was born in Colombia, South America and immigrated to California with his family at the age of three. After being skipped a grade in school as a child, Roger graduated from Warren High School in Downey, California in 1998, just having turned 17 years old.

Roger attended college at the University of California, Los Angeles, close to where he grew up. Roger arrived at UCLA ready to learn and eager to begin his college experience. It has always been his philosophy that the best way to learn something is to effectively teach it to others. Consistent with this philosophy, while a full-time student at UCLA, Roger held various teaching and tutoring positions, including tutoring middle school students in mathematics, teaching test preparation courses and tutoring other college students in upper-division Economics courses.

Upon graduating from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics and Minors in Computer Programming and Anthropology, he took a position as a Mathematics Teacher at Eastmont Intermediate School, a middle school in the school district where he grew up. After a year of teaching, he moved to Chicago to attend the University of Chicago Law School where he received his Juris Doctor Degree in 2006.

After graduating from law school and passing the California Bar, Roger worked as a corporate attorney for one of the largest law firms in the world in Los Angeles, CA. Roger's legal practice consisted of representing companies in a myriad of matters including venture capital financings, equity and debt financings, corporate governance, drafting of commercial and licensing agreements, mergers and acquisitions, and general intellectual property consulting.

His passion for teaching and helping others lead Roger to leave his legal practice and found PrepInteractive.
